UPDATE
1:17 PM Pacific Time – Plano PD tells TMZ … witnesses say this group of guys were selling chocolate in the Hooters parking lot and when a manager approached them and asked them to leave – things allegedly turned violent. We’re told several of them assaulted the manager and left him with a broken arm, at which point … things spilled inside, where a customer was also injured.
UPDATE
PPD says they’re investigating this as aggravated assault … but no arrests have been made so far. They will consider this video as part of the evidence.
A Hooters in Texas was brutally attacked this week — a group of young men went berserk on the establishment and their customers … presumably because of the candy.
Video of the altercation first surfaced on Thursday — when the incident appears to have happened — but started making the rounds this weekend … and the footage is absolutely wild. You see a bunch of young guys, some shirtless, losing their minds.
They beat up what appear to be diners in the lobby of the restaurant…specifically complaining about one guy falling to his knees. Some of the employees — including at least one Hooters girl — also seem to be getting in on the action … with total mayhem.
One person filming says something like… “it’s all chocolate” and you even see a chocolate bar on the ground at one point. Well, as it turns out, that’s exactly what’s allegedly causing this whole thing … according to a Hooters manager who spoke to TMZ.
We’re told these guys are door-to-door salesmen and that they came in that night trying to sell their wares, only to be turned away due to Hooters’ no-solicitation policy – which apparently prompted them.
No further details have been released, but a Hooters manager says they have reopened and that a criminal investigation is ongoing.
We’ve reached out to local authorities, including Plano police, to see if anything further has come of this … so far no word.
