Say it ain’t so! Another black couple leaves. According to legal documents from TMZ, Tia Maury filed for divorce from her husband of 14 years, Cory Hardrict. Tia filed in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the termination. The date of separation is unknown, but the actress is asking a judge for joint physical and legal custody of their two children, 11-year-old Cree and 4-year-old Cairo. The separated couple got married in 2008. Tia is also asking the judge to strip the court of its right to award spousal support, noting that the couple entered into a prenuptial agreement.
It’s unclear how long the pair have been having marital problems, but Tia may have dropped a hint earlier today. The actress posted a message on her Instagram: “Letting go can be painful. But it won’t hurt to hold on to the illusion.”
