NEW YORK (WABC) – In this week’s episode of Tiempo, we introduce you to the New York Philharmonic’s new director from Venezuela.
We will also tell you about the program “Ayuda y Esperanza” from partnership to elimination of addiction.
The program is designed to support Spanish-speaking families struggling with drug addiction.
But first, several Latino lawmakers in Connecticut proposed banning the term “Latinx” from official state documents.
They say the term is offensive to Spanish speakers. The word is used as a gender-neutral alternative to the words “Hispanic” and “Hispanic”.
