UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — A suspect threatened a subway passenger with a knife and pepper spray on a train in Manhattan Wednesday morning, police said.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. as the northbound 1 train approached the 59th Street-Columbus Circle station, according to police.
The 57-year-old victim told police she received a small cut and was pepper sprayed by another person.
Police were also looking for six men wanted in connection with the beating of the 17-year-old.
He was kicked and stabbed just after 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lexington Avenue-53rd Street station, police said.
Investigators say the teenager knew the attackers.
This attack happened at the same station that Police Commissioner Kichant Sewell visited on Tuesday night.
Only the Eyewtiness News cameras were there as she heard directly from the riders.
The department added nearly a thousand more employees to the subway, focusing on 15 train lines at 20 stations across the city.
