The 30-year-old singer from Texas showed off her “magical, beautiful gift” on “The Voice,” earning her a turn in four chairs during the blind auditions, which aired Monday, Oct. 10.

Kim Cruz performed “The Best Part” by Daniel Caesar, and it only took 15 seconds for John Legend to turn his chair around for the Woodville native. By the end of the song, all four coaches were ready to pitch in for Cruz to join their teams.

Gwen Stefani told Cruise that her performance “was so incredibly beautiful.”

“The amount of talent that God has poured out on you is crazy,” she added.

The legend commented on how natural Cruise’s voice sounded – then he predicted that fans will be seeing a lot more of her.

“Not only should she be in the show, but you should be in the finale of the show,” he said.

She decided to be a part of the Legend team and later thanked her fans in a post on Instagram.

“With my eyes filled with tears, thank you all for being a part of this journey!” she said. “#TeamLegend baby! John Legend, let’s make this trainer!”

Cruise is no stranger to the stage, she said, having toured with gospel singer John P. Key and sang backing vocals for Monica profile on the “Voice” website.

She also won the singing competition “Race to the Blue” and was featured on the online variety talk show “The Terrell Show”.

“Although a country girl at heart, she loves to sing R&B and soul,” her profile reads. “Kim was born into a musical family and performed in choirs throughout her school life.”

Woodville is located in Tyler County and is approximately 115 miles northeast of Houston.
