SCARSDAIL, Westchester County (WABC) – Storms hit Westchester County on Sunday, knocking down trees and power lines and leaving hundreds of people in the dark.

In Scarsdale, the Department of Public Works reported several roadblocks due to fallen trees and wires.

The following streets have been closed since Monday morning:
– Post Road between Farley and Kingston (both ways)
–Lenox Place on Mamaronek Road
–Hitcott Road between Maurice and Sherbrooke
-Palmer between Sekor and Bansam
–Carphagen Road to Heathcote Road

–Brookby Road

Village crews and ConEd are working on clearing trees and wires.

Drivers are advised to avoid these places.

At the peak of the outages nearly 1,200 people were without electricity in Westchester County.

Residents are urged to stay away from felled trees and wires and please report power outages to ConEd by calling 1-800-752-6633.
