The woman abruptly left Walmart to riches after the game south carolina lottery and win the jackpot.

“It was a wonderful day,” she told lottery officials.

According to an Oct. 26 press release, the woman was on her way to Walmart to do some shopping when she decided to play the lottery first.

She bought a $10 Cash Bonanza ticket at Krishna Indian Grocery in North Charleston, lottery officials said. She added that she did not believe that the victory was staring at her right away.

She won the top prize of $300,000, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The woman abandoned her plans to shop at Walmart and headed to lottery headquarters to claim the prize, but not before picking up her husband from home.

“He thought I was lying,” she told lottery officials. “He was holding the ticket in his hands and still couldn’t believe it.”

The couple took home $207,000 after taxes, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.

According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the odds of winning the top prize in Cash Bonanza are 1 in 900,000.
