The high temperature will reach 70 degrees as the cloud cover decreases. While a few sprinkles will be possible in the morning, we will likely stay dry during the afternoon and evening. Boaters will encounter rough surf in our bays and six to nine foot waves in the Gulf of Mexico. This is primarily due to Sunday’s strong wind.

In the afternoon, the wind is expected to increase with gusts of 30 to 45 kilometers per hour. They will be slightly stronger in communities in the north compared to communities in the south.

Wind advisories will be in effect for DeSato and Highlands counties during the afternoon and evening. Anyone planning to host the Super Bowl outdoors should carefully consider how wind might affect their festivities.
