Pause! Because the world is dealing with the aftermath of a deadly shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uwald, Texas, Yeezy Gap has decided to postpone the release of its Balenciaga collection. According to CNN,
The company announced this morning on its website, saying
“In light of the tragedy in Uwald, Texas, we are postponing the launch of Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga to Friday, May 27.” It continued: “As we pause, our hearts turn to the affected families and communities.”
Many celebrities and public figures spoke about the tragedy. Kanye Kim Kardashian’s ex-wife shared a long message on Twitter. The tycoon wrote
“Five years ago, almost to the day, I wrote an essay for my blog about my thoughts on gun control in honor of National Day of Awareness of Gun Violence. In it, I asked, “Is it more important to protect the Second Amendment than to protect one’s own children?”
She reminded her followers of her 2017 blog post, in which she expressed her views on gun violence while continuing to tweet.
