Mayor Cavalier Johnson supports the concept of honoring the victims in some way, but he worries that the memorial could be seen as a shrine that would attract fans of the killer.
She echoes what other victims’ relatives have said — the Netflix series opens up old wounds for people who simply don’t want to revisit the heinous case.
Nicole also believes that racism definitely played a big role in Dahmer’s murders going undetected – something that has been in the past for the Milwaukee DA Michael McCannwho personally pursued Dahmer, refused.
She thinks Dahmer was a white man, which is why he got so much sympathy from the police.
