Countdown to the MLB Playoffs: The Phillies have clinched the final playoff spot

2022 year MLB the postseason field is almost complete.

The top two division winners in each league will receive a division bye. The remaining four teams in each league will play in a best-of-three series in the wild-card round, with the higher-seeded team taking all three games.

Here’s how the playoff race plays out in both leagues heading into Monday night.

NL WEST

The Los Angeles Dodgers (110-50) own the best record in the sport, and with the division win on Sept. 13, they clinched the No. 1 overall seed for the Nederlands playoffs. The San Diego Padres (88-72) own the second wild card.

NL EAST

The Atlanta Braves (100-60) and art New York Mets (98-61) and compete in the East of the Netherlands. Both teams earned playoff spots, but neither secured the division. The loser will take first place in the NL. Meanwhile, Philadelphia Phillies (87-73) went into third place in the NL on Monday night.

NL CENTRAL

The St. Louis Cardinals (92-68) have been one of the hottest teams since the All-Star break, and have since climbed to the top of the NL Central. The Brewer of Milwaukee (85-75) were eliminated from the wild card race on Monday night.

NL WILD-CARD STATION

No. 1: New York Mets (clinched a playoff spot)

#2: San Diego Padres (earned a wild card)

No. 3: Philadelphia Phillies (earned a wild card)

AL WEST

The Houston Astros (104-56) won the AL West, while Seattle Mariners (87-72) secured the AL wild card spot.

AL-USKHOD

The New York Yankees (98-61) won the AL East, while Toronto Blue Jays (91-69) and Art Tampa Bay Rays (86-74) secured a wildcard spot. The Jays are the No. 1 wild card and will host the wild card series.

AL CENTRAL

In the division, which changed all summer, art Cleveland Guardians (90-70) won to clinch the division’s only playoff spot.

AL WILD-CARD STANIST

No. 1: Toronto Blue Jays (earned a wild card)

#2: Seattle Mariners (earned a wild card)

No. 3: Tampa Bay Rays (earned a wild card)
