Valerie’s home survived Hurricane Ian and came out the other side with very little damage.
The organization is now allowing the community to use the 110-year-old house and adjoining premises as a shelter for families. They provide air conditioning and hot meals to families in need.
Valerie’s House says it understands that many families are in desperate need after losing their homes and possessions.
The organization says it is also preparing to help children and families grieving the loss of loved ones in the storm.
