A few hours before John LennonMurder, he put pen to paper for possibly the last time in his life, and now the document is up for grabs… for any collector with deep pockets.
The typed letter was personally signed by JL on December 8, 1980 – the day he was shot dead outside his New York home – and is believed to be the last legal document to bear his autograph.
John sent it to his accountant, Barry Nicholsand it lists the 3 people to whom John gave his proxy to vote at the Beatles annual corporate meeting … which was held 9 days later in London.
This particular piece of memorabilia is expected to go for between $30K and $50K … and if it does, it’ll be nice considering his last autograph sold for $100K!
As you know … the legend of the Beatles was killed in disgrace Mark David Chapman when he went to “Dakota” – John and Yoko Onaapartment building in Central Park.
