You see Velma blushing at the sight of Coco, her glasses fogging up and romantic music playing. Velma is also shown to admire Coco’s other characteristics besides her looks, including her fashion sense and intelligence.
Interestingly, Velma has been portrayed as straight in the past … in the rebooted version of the series, she is shown to be in a relationship with Shaggy, although the showrunners suggested that he was actually just a beard to her.
this is my favorite scene of hers!! pic.twitter.com/V07OfY1nsS

No doubt people are raving… including gay and lesbian folks who are praising the clear portrayal and portrayal on screen.
FWIW, Coco seems to be a lesbian too – and she seems to like Velma too, calling her “sweetie” in another scene where they show a bit of affection and flirting.

Fans have long suspected that Velma is a lesbian — and it’s actually been claimed as true by some of the creative people who’ve worked on Scooby projects over the years … including James Gunn, who helmed the live-action adaptations, and produced by Tony Cervone.
It’s unclear if the OG writers and Hanna-Barbera staff ever saw it this way when they created Velma back in the ’60s, but the people in charge of her have now spoken out.
