Two people from Fort Myers were arrested after Florida Highway Patrol officers found them in a stolen truck Tuesday morning.
Troopers say they responded to a report of a suspicious pickup truck in the area near Sanibel Road just after 4 a.m.
When troopers arrived, they found the truck at Davis Road and Heald Lane. They say the truck was stolen out of Fort Lauderdale.
Inside the truck, Kevin O’Kane, 37, of Fort Myers, and a passenger, Leandra Carriere, 29, of Fort Myers, were taken into custody while officers investigated.
Cops say they found drugs, drug paraphernalia and stolen credit cards on the duo.
Both were arrested and face charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen credit cards.
O’Kane faces an additional charge of grand larceny.
The FHP reports that the investigation into the two arrestees is ongoing.
