Fashion Week in Paris led to a Jackson family reunion. On October 7, the legendary singer Janet Jackson shared a photo of her and her niece Paris Jackson spending time together at an Instagram event. “So good to chat with my beautiful niece @parisjackson 💖💖💖,” she captioned a shot of the two of them sitting on the couch.
In the photo, Janet is smiling while her 24-year-old niece sits next to her in large sunglasses and a dress. Paris responded to her aunt’s post with a simple black heart emoji.
The reunion marks one of the first times the aunt and niece have been seen together in public since the death of Paris’ father, singer Michael Jackson, in 2009. Since then, Janet and Paris have parted ways with rumors about their relationship, which the 24-year-old previously addressed on Twitter in 2018 “Janet and I haven’t argued in over 6 years, stop these stupid rumours. I have nothing but love for my family and they all know it. Shit,” she tweeted.
During the January interview with Access, the up-and-coming singer talked about the possibility of working with Janet in the future. When asked if she ever thought about releasing a song with her aunt, Paris said, “We haven’t talked about it, but, like, I’m not against it.” She added: “I love collaborating with all kinds of artists… I’m open to anything.”
