Both San Diego (89-73) and New York (101-61) finished the regular season tied for second in their respective NL divisions.
The winner will meet Los Angeles Dodgers in the next round, while the other National League match is scheduled for: Atlanta Braves against Philadelphia Phillies. American League Matches – New York Yankees against Cleveland Guardians and Houston Astros against Seattle Mariners – are also installed.
The loser of Sunday’s tilt will join the Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinalsall of which were eliminated on Saturday in two games.
