Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel finally walking down the aisle. The actors will appear alongside each other in the upcoming rom-com Shotgun Wedding” which has been a long time in the works. Now we finally have a trailer for the action-packed story from director Jason Moore, who previously helmed “Pitch Perfect.”

Written by Mark Hammer, the film will air on Prime Video next year and follows Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel) whose families are taken hostage at their destination. a wedding. According to Prime Video’s description, the R-rated comedy is a “hilarious, adrenaline-fueled adventure where Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones – unless they kill each other first.”

The trailer for the film was released on October 4 and featured all the promised laughs and jokes, as well as fans’ first look at Jennifer Coolidge in action as Duhamel’s hysterical mother. Oh, and an exciting, offbeat family rendition of Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be.”

The role of bride and groom was not a difficult task for the film’s stars, as both Duhamel and Lopez recently tied the knot in real life: the former to Audra May in September, and the last until love ben affleck again earlier this summer.

Lopez and Duhamel are joined by Jennifer Coolidge, Sonia Braga, Cheech Marin, Selena Tan, and D’Arcy Carden (a recent Emmy winner). Kali Hernandez, Desmin Borges, Steve Coulter and Alberto Isaacs also star as the rocker Lenny Kravitz.

Armie Hammer was originally set to appear as Duhamel, but in January 2021 it was announced that the character had been recast due to the allegations against Hammer. Diversity reported at the time.

The film will stream on Prime Video from January 27, 2023.
