The Indianapolis Colts faced with Denver Broncos in an AFC battle on Thursday Night Football to open Week 5 NFL season.

The Colts (1-2-1) look to turn their season around with a road win, while the Broncos (2-2) hope to get above .500 with a home win. Both teams enter Thursday in third place in their respective divisions.

Indy without starting to run away Jonathan Taylorwho is out with an ankle injury, while Denver is without a star Javonte Williamswho a year after tearing his ACL in week 4.

Rough start

Misfortune struck early for the Colts when Nyheim Hineswho was expected to be heavily involved in Thursday’s action with Taylor out, was injured on the first drive of the game.

He was taken straight to the locker room and is being examined for a head injury. His return is in question.

On the go

Denver switched chains on their first drive, which included an impressive 18-yard pickup from the QB Russell Wilson. But the Broncos stalled in the red zone and settled for a field goal to take a 3-0 lead.
