Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams faces fine from NFL for shoving operator as he leaves field after 30-29 loss Kansas City Chiefs on Monday evening.
Adams could be disciplined — and possibly suspended — by the league pending further review of the incident, per NFL Network. Immediately after the game, Adams apologized for his actions and tweeted his remorse.
In the final minute of the game, the Raiders had a chance to get into field goal position, but Adams and Hunter Renfrow collided with each other and overturned as Derek Carr the fourth down pass was incomplete.
Adams then slammed his helmet to the ground in apparent frustration as he returned to the sideline. As he came off the field, Adams unexpectedly collided with a cameraman near the tunnel and pushed him to the ground.
“Obviously very disappointed with the way the game ended and when he ran in front of me when I came out, that was my reaction and I felt terrible straight away. It’s not me… MY APOLOGIES, I hope you see that,” Adams wrote on Twitter.
Las Vegas, which started the season 17-0, fell to 1-4 on the season, tied with four other teams for the worst record in the NFL.
Adams also addressed the locker room situation.
“Before I answer that question, I’d like to apologize to the man… I hit him and pushed him and he fell to the ground, so I want to apologize to him,” Adams reportedly said. from the Kansas City Star. “It was just disappointing.”
